Andrew Morrison and Keith Stevens, the two foreign coaches appointed by Football Sri Lanka (FSL) for the national football team arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday.

The salaries of the two coaches will be funded by Aspire Foundation Zone, Qatar on a request made by FSL President Jaswar Umar to the Qatar Football Association.

Both coaches were received by Hiran Rathnayake, Manager Sri Lanka Men’s National Team and Asif Ansar, Head of Competitions on behalf of FSL.

“Just looking to getting started. It’s been a long flight, just need to get checked in and meet the players and the President and then start the ball rolling. Really excited about the opportunity. We’ve done a lot of research and got a lot of footage to look over in the coming days, but we’ll be prepared when the games come around. There’ve been a lot of planning and hard work from our end,” said Head Coach Morrison, a former Manchester City player, after their arrival.
