Rashmi and Vishwanie shine at Badminton Junior Nationals

Rashmi Mudalige and Vishwanie Wanniarachchi won the Under 19 and Under 15 Singles badminton titles at the 38th Junior Nationals Championship 2023 played recently at the Sugathadasa Indoor courts.

Partnering Natasha Gunasekara, Mudalige also won the Runner-up trophy in Under 19 Girls’ Doubles.

Gateway College was placed overall Girls Runner-up at the tournament.

In addition to their local achievements Mudalige, Gunasekera and Wanniarachchi represented Sri Lanka in 2022.

They represented the country at the Under 17 and 15 Asian Championships held in Thailand.

Gunasekera joined Mudalige to participate at the Linings International Challenge that was held in Maldives.
