A/L exam to begin on August 10; Grade 5 scholarship exam on August 9

Colombo, June 8 (Daily Mirror) - The Examinations Department has announced the dates for the 2026 General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination and the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.

According to a statement issued by the Department, the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2026 will be held from August 10 to September 5, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, conducted to select students for schools and award scholarships, will be held on August 9, 2026.

The Department has also released the examination timetables for both examinations.
