Nirekh and Reshan win Gold and Silver segments

Nirekh Tejwani and Reshan Algama won the Gold and Silver segments respectively at the Scanwell Logistics Open Trophy Golf tournament 2022 which was worked off at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC).

Another consistent junior golfer, K Danushan accounted for the runner up medal in the Gold event.

Meanwhile Kaya Daluwatte, who returned to golf after a short break away from the country, was in sensational form ending in third overall.

In the Silver Division Under 14 tournament, brothers Reshan and Keshav Algama were in good form ending as winner and runner-up respectively.

This was Reshan’s third win in a row in the Silver Division with some powerful long ranging shots.

The 12-year-old Keshav's, the youngest, had some good junior outings in the recent past too and was in cracking form giving his brother a good run, before securing the runner-up position.

In the Bronze Division Araadhi Samararatne won the event with another up-and-coming player and Thomian school boy Saqeeb Zuhar ending as runner-up.
