Upcountry trains only up to Bandarawela due to derailment

Railway service on the upcountry line had been restricted only up to Bandarawela following a derailment of the Badulla-Kandy train at the Heeloya Railway Station yesterday, an official at the Railway Control Room said.

“Officials and employees of the Railway Department are working to restore the railway service on the upcountry line,” he said.
