Police sergeant arrested for alleged sexual assault at canteen

Bingiriya, May 22 (Daily Mirror) - A police sergeant stationed at the Bingiriya Police has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman working in the police canteen.

The incident involves a fifty-year-old woman who operates the canteen within the Bingiriya police station premises.

Police said the suspect was arrested following an investigation after a petition was submitted to the Inspector General of Police regarding the matter.
