Amendment to VoA seeking an increase in expenditure withdrawn

The Government has withdrawn the proposed amendment to the Vote on Account (VoA) seeking to increase expenditure and an increase in the debt ceiling.

The Leader of the House who announced this decision in Parliament today said the Government had decided to withdraw the VoA and the proposal to increase debt ceiling as the opposition had opposed it.
