Mar. 29 (Daily Mirror) - Skipper Joshi Groves and Jodi Grewcock shone for England in their 35-run win over Australia in the second match of the Under-19 Women’s Tri-Nations T20 Cricket Tournament match played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Hambantota today.
England Under-19 taking first lease of the wicket fell into deep trouble as they lost their top four wickets with the score on 30 in the sixth over.
They made a recovery through Skipper Josie who made a quick-fire 41-ball 52 which had four boundaries and two sixes and also put on 90 runs in 54 balls for the fifth wicket with Jodi Grewcock, who made 31 in 33 balls with three boundaries and a six.
Australia Under-19 Women in their run chase of 147 runs lost their top five wickets with the score on 50 in the 13th over.
Despite the efforts of Eleanor Larosa and Hasrat Gill, England needed 87 runs for victory from the last seven overs but they managed to score only 61 and they were restricted to 111 in 20 overs.

Never seen or heard of an Under 19 Australian Girls Cricket Team representing the country . Currently there is only an Australian Mens Under 19 Cricket team actively involved in the game other than the senior teams.
