At least 23 people, including two children, were injured in a road accident that took place at Bataliya in Kajugama on the Colombo-Kandy Main Road this morning.
Police said a private bus coming from Kandy to Negombo and a CTB bus heading to Muthur from Colombo crashed head-on.
The drivers of the two buses were also among the injured.
The injured were admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital. Hospital sources said that that the injuries to the passengers due to the accident were not serious. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

We don't know how to drive in rainy days and we do not care too much others ? Now accidents are increasing and we do nothing about it ..put some strict rules and penalties..How many people die monthly or annually? How many injuries? Why we don't care about this high level of accidents? minister of Transport must resign if he can't do his job

The licences of these bus drivers who drive carelessly should be cancelled and their owners route permits also should be cancelled.
