sorry to say this is the end of the life ,treated with substandard medicine

Tissa Fernando Tuesday, 14 May 2024 08:24 AM

Why don't you do a special movie and raise some funds to buy standard medicines. There are good partners you can find for the special movies.

    Gamini Monday, 13 May 2024 01:39 PM

why the foreigner was give with a sub standard expired parachute and It refused to eject, authorities must be questioned????

    RF Monday, 13 May 2024 03:01 PM

No one is given a parachute. They have their own once. The article clearly states that "foreigner delayed opening his parachute after jumping". There is always risk involved in sports like this. If you don't know how it works please keep quite without posting ridicules comments.

Tissa Fernando Monday, 13 May 2024 04:06 PM

Why do you assume that it was substandard. Many people have done the jump without an issue. Have you not heard Roller Coaster and other sports accidents in US or other countries. You are really disgusting.

    KDK Monday, 13 May 2024 07:27 PM

they are mad to take jumps here. no safety standards.

    Mizaru Monday, 13 May 2024 02:20 PM

Nice. They have fun on borrowed money while we have to pay the high interest loans back.

Tissa Fernando Monday, 13 May 2024 05:24 PM

You pay high interest Loan? How? . This is a paid event , the participants pay for the opportunity to jump. Countries that built such structures earn money from such structures by introducing such activities. That income goes towards payment of loan. Frankly , the interest in these loans are at basic rate while the loans your Yahapalana government took during 2015 to 2019 from open market were all spent on eating.

Jagath Leanage Monday, 13 May 2024 02:53 PM

Authorities who are doing this Parachute jumping should be jailed after legal process .

Tissa Fernando Tuesday, 14 May 2024 08:19 AM

May be when your government comes into power you can demolish these structures and jail everyone.

    Tariq Monday, 13 May 2024 03:21 PM

Yesterday they did easily more than 20 to 25 jumps without an issue. This is the odd one out. There's a risk involved in Base or Bunjee Jumping

    Shera Monday, 13 May 2024 04:02 PM

He delayed to open the parachute or the parachute was defective and didn't open on time? This is going to be a lawsuit for sure since it involves foreigners.

    Suhuru Monday, 13 May 2024 05:05 PM

Which law says foreigners' lives are more important?

Gehan Silva Monday, 13 May 2024 04:21 PM

HE JUST MISTOOK HIS TRAVELING BAG INSTEAD THE PARACHUTE

Dilrukshi Fernando Monday, 13 May 2024 04:58 PM

Doing these kind of events in sri lanka are suicidal.

Tissa Fernando Tuesday, 14 May 2024 05:19 PM

These are considered as dangerous sports regardless of where it is done. When 100 jump 1 or 2 may get injured. That is the norm.

    Sanga Monday, 13 May 2024 05:42 PM

So the tower is not 300 meters... buhahahaha

PRAYERS FOR HIS RECOVERY Monday, 13 May 2024 06:40 PM

THE INJURED USA GUY WOULD HAVE HAD HIS OWN PARACHUTE (JUMPERS USUALLY DO) IF HE WAS AN EXPERIENCED JUMPER. LET'S WAIT TO SEE THE OUTCOME.

    M Fernando Monday, 13 May 2024 07:27 PM

With the level of safety precautions, and organization that Sri Lanka can(not) muster, "base-jumping" was a predictable disaster waiting to happen. I wonder whether he signed a waiver before jumping ? EIthe way, there's going to be a big lawsuit in the works for negligence on the part of Lotus Tower Pvt Limited

Buffalo Soldier Monday, 13 May 2024 11:44 PM

so sad. hope he has a quick recovery and injuries not life threatening or serious.

    Mahila Tuesday, 14 May 2024 01:32 AM

“Frankly, the interest in THESE LOANS ARE AT BASIC RATE while the loans your Yahapalanaya government took during 2015 to 2019 from OPEN MARKET WERE ALL SPENT ON EATING” Chinese loans weren’t on LOW interest – Normal Commercial rate prevalent at that time!!/ Any case, “who wanted these structures?? None, and ‘Topped-Off’ with NAMAL flower shaped to propagate one’s political symbolism!!!??? The total collections made, with all these “stunts” do not even equal Interest and Capital PAYBACK!!?? Yahapalanaya, loans were to meet the Payback of Chinese Loans by The Messiah and economist at the HELM and Finance Minister!!??? Now, TAKE ANOTHER "CHINESE LOAN", PAY COMPENSATION!!??? Who says, ARE paupers??? NEY!!?? We are rich and intelligent and all-pervading KNOWLEDGE!!!???

    Gp Tuesday, 14 May 2024 04:50 AM
