What Ambassador Udaya Indraratne did was the correct thing of thanking the UAE Government for pardoning and releasing Sri Lankan criminals, keeping to the culture of our country where we thank and appreciate anything that develops and encourages criminality.

After the most unexpected first visit to Sri Lanka by the President of Iran, the whole Arab world ( the mortal enemies of Iranians for centuries ) has gone into panic mood. So Sri Lanka is getting some token goodies from the Arabs.

@shunmugam - You talk comment is something new because the Arab world who are supported by the Western countries comprises a majority of Sunni muslims whilst in Iran the majority consists of Shia muslims. Do not underestimate the Arab Word because these countries are equipped with the most sophisticated arsenal to defend their territories and for the last 3 decades their citizens have been sponsored in Western and other countries of Military Academies. Adducing that the prisoners were released due to a panic mood by the Arabs is pure gibberish which does not hold water!!!!!!!!!

They go for jobs to UAE and then do all dirty work and get caught and are punished. All these guys have tranished the name of our Country. They will put a red seal in their Passports and send them back so that they can never go back to any country again. this is a very good punishment.

Human Being Saturday, 04 May 2024 10:44 AM

Will our president pardon them at BIA or will they have to go through investigations on Arrival?

Tissa Fernando Saturday, 04 May 2024 03:06 PM

They are free and they cannot be charged in Sri Lanka as no crime is committed in Sri Lanka.

JOBS Dubai: 16 workers become millionaires for a day in special Labour Day treat They were chauffeured in Ferrari and Bentley cars and got to dance to their heart's content in a private yacht party

In SRILANKA Labour day became political meeting day and verbal fight.

Tissa Fernando Saturday, 04 May 2024 03:02 PM

Yes they do that every year. They select workers and reward them. In Sri Lanka, workers foolishly follow the shirts of their political party color and participate in rallies where stories of other opponents are being told for them to laugh.
