Colombo, April 11 (Daily Mirror) - In a coordinated operation with Operation 'Yukthiya', the STF arrested three individuals in Maradana with a cache of weapons, including a T-56 firearm and a magazine containing 14 rounds of live ammunition.
Investigations revealed that these weapons were intended for use in conflicts between organized crime groups.
During the raid, the STF also seized sharp weapons, including a sword and a dagger, concealed in a suitcase on the rooftop of a house.
The suspects, aged 18, 34 and 47 and residents of Maradana, were handed over to the Maradana Police for further investigations.
