These are just drug addicts. Arresting them and showing numbers will not change anything. We are back at the Sinhalese game of showing high action but actually inside empty. In another 1y, the difference is pure bullshit. It is like the strict bus lane policy on Galle Road whenever some Police nut gets an erection to do it.

Those arrested may be ones who had in their possession a few grms of some drug. How can you expect to eliminate the Drug menace by merely arresting these small addicts. The King Pins , the big Dealers and Distributors may be having the last laugh. Whom are Tiran and Desabandu fooling ?

This is a good thing of course if it is done lawfully and the right people are arrested. Often, such enthusiasm by law enforcement in any country can lead to innocent people being caught up in the net. Now, what about the big fish? Will they too be netted in?
