Over 1.3 million affected by adverse weather across 25 districts

Colombo, Dec.2 (Daily Mirror) - A total of 1,373,899 individuals from 382,651 families across 25 districts have been affected by the ongoing adverse weather conditions, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

The DMC reported that 390 deaths have been confirmed so far, while 352 people have been reported missing due to the adverse weather.

It is reported that 1,368 safe centres have been established to provide shelter for the displaced families. 

Meanwhile, 432 houses have been fully damaged and 15,688 houses have been partially damaged.
