Maldives pledges full support for Sri Lanka’s rebuilding efforts

Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has assured that the Maldives will extend its fullest support to Sri Lanka in providing relief to those affected by Cyclone Ditwa and throughout the rebuilding process.

In a telephone conversation held this afternoon (04) with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President Muizzu conveyed that both the Government and the people of the Maldives stand in solidarity with Sri Lanka during this difficult time.

He emphasised that Sri Lanka, as a sister nation, “will not be left alone at any time.”

President Dissanayake expressed his gratitude, noting that the Maldives has consistently supported Sri Lanka in times of hardship. He added that the heartfelt assistance extended at this moment serves as a great source of strength for the country.
