This shite-eating rectal parasite Namal from the country's most notorious Rajapaksa mafia clan of subhumans has no respect for the will of the people who sent him to hell. He has the impudence to claim such a position despite having the brain size of a gonococcus. The policy priorities that this National Council sub-committee will identify are: looting, looting, and looting.

Bernard Jayatilake Sunday, 09 October 2022 03:50 PM

As this committee lacks broader political representation in the legislature to achieve its objectives, it will only serve to enhance the image of the SLPP as a failed attempt to appeal to the electorate.

The thief should be behind bars! Are people in that south mad to elect these kind of shameless crooks to politics?

    DW Sunday, 09 October 2022 04:19 PM

One step at a time. Let's see what BR is getting. Everyone will slowly sneak into the top. Well, SLPP, being the puppetmaster, still runs the show.

Who couldn't see that in a year after aragalya was crushed this would happen. It must be the most small minded or deceptive who would claim the Rajapaksa/Rajapakse would not rise again like yaksyo or demons. Those who supported for stability of the current government would have known it was going to happen in a year. I expect of course things to be back to full time corrupt practices by the end of the end, but not this soon. UN and IMF if watching must know that corruption here is never going away when the kingpins of corruptions are now rearing their (ugly) heads again!

Simple example Philippines. As long as the voters are being used, this system won't change.

    Sunil Sunday, 09 October 2022 04:35 PM

What does this moron know about national policies and priorities? His only priority is for looting national wealth like his father and uncles.

As an urgency liberate the Sri Lankan railway structure from the Indians. Historically the trains have been running in Sri Lanka for more than one hundred years. In that period how many train derailments and railway bridge collapses we have had , the answer is almost next to zero. “Canadian Locomotives pulling Chinese Rail Compartments” dominated the successfully run Colombo-Jaffna line. As a young school boy I have travelled many times between Jaffna and Colombo enjoying my journey even in the third class. But after 2009, the “Indian Worshiping” Sri Lankan government gave the whole of the Northern Line trusting the Indians to rebuild them. And what a “horrendous rebuilding the Indians have done for the line”. So what are the options now; Just kick out the “technologically incompetent and untrustworthy Indians” and bring in the Chinese, Japanese,Canadians, or the Americans and do the tracks and introduce new trains all over again.

President can appoint good advisers straight away and seek their advice rather than appointing committees filled with ineligible people.

Can someone please put some sense into the gon naamba's head and ask him to stay away from politics.

    Roisin Sunday, 09 October 2022 07:46 PM

Within 10 years time, Namal will be the elected president. Look at the Philippines, people will never learn.

A mad chap will rule us better this womaniser Sunday, 09 October 2022 11:05 PM

This chap is another curse for this country. The entire family wants to ruin this country and enjoy the power at our cost. This Chap must be rehabilitated first before trying to become the future President of this country by utilising the hoarded money from this paradise which is now a desert because of this family.

Pantha Kumaran Sunday, 09 October 2022 11:34 PM

I can only laugh. What experience this young man possess apart doing illegal things. I am sorry we still continue to carry on with the same mistakes. If you ask my opinion I will say this young man should be behind bars for all the wrong doing.

Fake lawyer - Womanizer Monday, 10 October 2022 12:01 AM

all beautiful actress and young girls finished because of him and other rajapaksa family. These young girls can not marry anyone and their life has been destroyed by rajapaksa's family. This guy playing a dirty politics with his father and with Ranil mama. Even his not a qualified. He did his law exam just by sitting alone in the AC room and copied all questions. He doesn't know the law point when questions raised by senior lawyers in the parliament

    Aquarius Monday, 10 October 2022 02:55 AM

Someone please, please ask him where he amassed all this wealth and possessions? The Rajapakses are bever vocal to deny any allegation although the country knows they and their henchmen are behind this. Has he declared his assets?

    Shunmugam Monday, 10 October 2022 03:13 AM

Sivakumar, you have brought so much nostalgia for the Jaffna school boys of the 60s and 70s. Those Chinese spacious rail compartments with finest suspensions and the roaring Canadian Locomotives is far cry from the Indian made “chappathi” trains now running and derailing in the northern line. Indians must have bribed the Sri Lankan ministers in millions to get access to Sri Lankan railway. Only person who is defending the Indians is the same old “Tamil Christian Filth” with multiple personalities and IDs.

SL proves it's a 3rd world country time and time when u read such news. Anyways with 69 mil donkeys what do one expect ha!!!!

    Nimal Monday, 10 October 2022 07:00 AM

People in SL are so stupid, uneducated, spiritual, faith-blinded, non visionary, foolish, non strategic, forgetful and you can put many similar English words to it. They will never learn. They get what they deserve. Many can't believe this is happening, but it is. That's why SL will never be a developed country ever! Not in the next 1,000 years.

Jagath Leanage Monday, 10 October 2022 08:11 AM

Tissa Fernando Monday, 10 October 2022 09:25 AM

Looted money is finishing fast and to maintain lavish life style you need to be in politics. Like a Cancer in Sr Lanka.

    Indian Monday, 10 October 2022 11:31 AM

Guys who are against Indian Railway....First of all you idiots should understand that Indian Railways is managing 65000 km rail line more than 80% is electrified with a revenue of 25 Bil $ per year Accidents are very very rare. Learn to maintain your trains and tracks. Lazy. You lazy guys cannot build anything, always blaming others. You want Americans to run your railways, idiots. 99% of Americans dont know where is Sri Lanka. Only Indian idiots will support Sri Lankan Railways. You are not fit to build even chappathi trains.

    Citizen k Monday, 10 October 2022 11:42 AM

Sivakumar Jaffna Tamil , I too travel to Jaffna often. There is a big difference in the railway lines from vavuniya onwards. It is so smooth and very much less noisy.I am no fan of any country but superior technology should be admired.Next time try to stay awake from Vavuniya as the smooth travelling lulls you to sleep.

    Adwani Monday, 10 October 2022 11:55 AM

If all the crooks get down to the road they can easily witness what is the dire need of the public, rather than speeding off along the road and wasting public funds in making false appointments.
