This Minister should have been fired long time ago. Again, the President is keen only on the Presidential Election and nothing else! No one give a hoot of those innocent people who have died due to sub-standard medicines, procured by the "Massive" corruption in the Health Ministry. The saying of "Fish rots from the head down" is definitely applicable to our Health Ministry. In Sri-Lanka, people can commit murders, shoot the pistol in the air, but not allowed to criticize the Government or Protest against hardships. Those dares, would be arrested immediately by our Politicized Police Force!

Crony state Friday, 08 September 2023 07:53 PM

Obviously corrupt RW and his cronies will defeat these motions against the corrupt. It goes without saying. Sadly we are governed by these inept bunch of cronies.

This is not a vote to decide who is who is wrong, but to decide the destiny of those in power.

Satisfied patient Friday, 08 September 2023 08:42 PM

Great. All corrupt MPs have voted to keep Dr. Rambukwella as the Minister of Health. He can continue to get commissions from black-listed drug companies and keep on reducing the population of overpopulated Sri Lanka.

    Jo Friday, 08 September 2023 09:11 PM

What else one can expect from so called democracy of this country. Jayawewa.

    Ranil Friday, 08 September 2023 10:10 PM

What a drama for two days ..so they heard no evil , read no evil in the media and had the guts to stand up and speak about the evil .it was all a game .no sitting on edge with suspense by those who profited from the deals or the rest who suffered not even the Minister concerned ...Now clear the arena for the next game .

Will see to it in the next election. Keep in mind the number,113 plus 38.

    Abd Saturday, 09 September 2023 05:59 AM

Who voted against and absentees are parliamentarians without conscience

    Ram Saturday, 09 September 2023 06:11 AM

Good that the names are published. Public/voters must make a note not to send to Parliament those who voted to defeat the motion. They are all playing with our lives

    Blessing Saturday, 09 September 2023 07:34 AM

The Government won while the people were defeated. The MPs, who supported Keheliya either through voting or by abstaining, deserve spits on their faces.

Gandappa Kottunathan Saturday, 09 September 2023 08:03 AM

People were expecting these results as there were more crook or animals than humans with brains! Langa Matha is crying by crying by changing the Pearl of the Indian Ocean to many TEAR drops by crooks!

Mohamed Adham Saturday, 09 September 2023 08:21 AM

Jayawewa !!!! These crooks have voted for another crook and the "Fox" Jack of all trades Ranil will keep this crook in his post to bring in more inferior medicines from blacklisted companies and to KILL all of us, while the crooks and their families will FLY to OTHER COUNTRIES for their own medical treatment at our TAX PAYER EXPENSE. 6.9m and more should now REJOICE.

    sam Saturday, 09 September 2023 08:32 AM

    The corrupt won as expected

    rbh Saturday, 09 September 2023 08:39 AM

People are dying Keheliya is flying The reflection of tha present ministers mind set to vote for defaulters The president knows and no action

    Nadeesha Saturday, 09 September 2023 01:12 PM

This clearly shows, for our MPs, money and power are more important than their conscience.

    Sambo Sunday, 10 September 2023 08:29 AM

This proves that the ministers who voted against their conscious are greedy to stay in power even over the death of the people who voted them to power. This short lived.

    Roy Sunday, 10 September 2023 12:25 PM

Can't blame any body and this is a very good lesson for our modays for selling their votes for few monies and voting for these crooks and this trend will continue unless a transformation takes place.
