Tamadi and Akain best at Junior TT Nationals

Most Outstanding Players: Akain Bojith (boys) and Tamadi Kavindya (girls)

The Junior National Table Tennis Championship organised by the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL) concluded at the Kandy Indoor Stadium, with several young paddlers delivering outstanding performances across multiple age categories.

Among the standout performers, Tamadi Kavindya of Devananda College, Ambalangoda, was named the Most Outstanding Player (girls) while Akain Bojith of Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda, earned the Most Outstanding Player (boys) award following an impressive campaign.

Tamadi secured both the Under-17 and Under-19 girls’ singles titles and also teamed up to win the Under-19 girls’ doubles crown. She capped off her remarkable tournament by winning the mixed doubles title alongside Akain Bojith.

Akain was equally dominant, capturing the Under-17 and Under-19 boys’ singles championships before joining Hareen Nimdinu to claim the Under-19 boys’ doubles title. He also partnered with Tamadi Kavindya to win the mixed doubles event.
