Avishka stars as Sri Lanka book date with India

Sri Lanka A made it into the final of the Tri- Nation series with an easy 103 runs win over Afghanistan A in the last league match played at the Dambulla Stadium yesterday.

The pace duo of Dulaj Samuditha and Kugathas Mathulan combined successfully to share eight wickets between them to bowl out Afghanistan, chasing a formidable target of 323 runs, for a score of 219.

Earlier Sri Lanka invited to take first lease of the wicket saw openers Avishka Fernando who made 110 in 97 balls with 13 boundaries and a six and Niroshan Dickwella who hit 66 in 54 balls with 12 boundaries giving them a solid start of 133 which laid the foundation.

Sri Lanka A will now meet India A in the final scheduled to be played tomorrow at the same venue.
