Six injured in accident

Six passengers were seriously injured when a trishaw in which they were travelling crashed into a mound of earth found by the roadside.   

The injured, including two children and a woman were admitted to the Meegahakiula Hospital and transferred in critical condition to the Badulla General Hospital. Investigations revealed that the trishaw was dragged down a slope and crashed into the mound of earth when the driver lost control after the vehicle developed a technical defect.   

Kandeketiya Police are conducting further investigations.
