Man engaged in making explosive device injured

A 35-year-old man was admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital with serious injuries following an explosion at his house in Iyakkachchi, Kilinochchi on Saturday, police said.   

The Police also recovered a flag similar to that of the LTTE, during the search conducted in his house.   
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had been seriously injured accidentally when he was making a bomb, using an empty salmon tin .   

The injured man was later admitted to the Jaffna Hospital.   

The Jaffna Police Terrorist Investigation Division is conducting further investigations.
