Man caught trying to pass cash to ‘Wele Suda’

The STF arrested a 26-year-old man, who had attempted to handover Rs.150,000 in cash to Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda and Mohamed Niyaz currently under life imprisonment at the Boosa Prison.

The suspect said to be a resident of Balapitiya was found frequenting the prison.   

The suspect, who was found frequenting the prison was arrested by the STF personnel on guard duty and on searching him found Rs.150,000 in his possession. When questioned he said he had brought the money to be given to the two prisoners.  He was handed over to the Ratgama Police to be produced before the Galle Magistrate.
