Health Ministry promotes dengue hotline

Colombo, June 30 (Daily Mirror) - The Health and Mass Media Ministry has called for wide public awareness of the newly established Dengue Operations Room, which has been set up to strengthen information gathering and coordination related to dengue prevention and control.

A dedicated hotline—011-7966366—has been introduced under the initiative to enable the public to promptly report information and complaints regarding the spread of dengue, as well as to obtain relevant guidance and updates.

The operations room is intended to serve as a central point for receiving and forwarding dengue-related information to relevant authorities, thereby improving response efficiency and supporting ongoing disease control measures.

The Ministry has requested media institutions and stakeholders to give the hotline wide publicity among the public, in order to ensure timely reporting and stronger community participation in dengue prevention efforts.
