One faction of SLFP calls for political affairs committee meeting today

SLFP Treasurer Lasantha Alagiyawanna who represents the party group with the government said the current crisis of the party will be discussed at the meeting. “We will take some decisions with regard to the party,” he said.
Also Alagiyawanna said he has been called to make a statement with regard to a complaint lodged by SLFP General Secretary Sarath Dushmantha. Mr Dushmantha had lodged a complaint with the police saying some important documents were missing from the SLFP headquarters. He said some SLFPers who had taken up ministerial posts are trying to take over the party. “We will not allow these forces to take over the party,” he said.
