Marked dip in accidents during festive season

• No admissions due to firecracker-related accidents

Health authorities have noticed a significant decrease in accidents, notably firecracker-related incidents, during the festive season.

According to Deputy Director of the Colombo National Hospital Dr Rukshan Bellana, there were no admissions due to firecracker-related accidents during the period. However, three patients sought treatment at the outpatient department for minor injuries at the National Hospital.
