Woman killed in Military ‘buffel’ collision

One woman was killed and another woman was seriously injured when the motorbike they were riding was knocked down by a military ‘buffel’ at the 15th mile post in the Puttalam- Vanathavilluwa road this evening.

The victim died on the spot and the other is now receiving treatment at the Puttalam Hospital.

The driver and the buffel were taken into custody by the Vanathavilluwa Police and further inquiries into the accident are being conducted. (Hiran Priyankara Jayasinghe)
