GK repayment plan: AG seeks time

The Attorney General today sought a further date to submit the government’s decision to repay 41 % of the deposited money of Golden Key (GK) depositors, when the fundamental rights petitions filed by depositors were taken up in the Supreme Court.

The Cabinet’s decision to repay the depositors’ money was not presented in court today as agreed during the previous hearing. Therefore, the AG sought a further date and hearing into the matter.

The case was postponed for July 7. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
