LTTE suspect escapes

A LTTE suspect who was undergoing treatment at Vavuniya Hospital under prison custody had escaped last night.

The Police said the suspect is a 28-year-old resident at Kudirippu in Vavuniya and had been arrested for allegedly possessing weapons.

A joint search operation by both police and the Army had been initiated to find the fleeing suspect.
