Special dengue prevention operation in Western Province from tomorrow

Colombo, July 4 (Daily Mirror) - The government has decided to implement a special dengue prevention operation from tomorrow (5), covering 23 high-risk dengue zones in the Western Province.

The Government Information Department said the operation will be implemented under the coordination of the "Clean Sri Lanka" programme. 

The project will be carried out with the joint participation of various state and community stakeholder groups, including the health sectors, tri-forces, Sri Lanka Police, District Secretariats, Divisional Secretariats, Local Government authorities, as well as voluntary organisations.

This joint operation is scheduled to be implemented covering all 23 high-risk dengue zones in the Western Province, while increasing public participation for dengue prevention.
