US Green Card lottery opens

The US Embassy in Colombo announced that the 2024 Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery Program, popularly known as the 'Green Card Lottery', will be accepting online applications starting tonight.

According to the US Embassy in Colombo, the DV2024 Diversity Visa Program (http://dvprogram.state.gov) is the only way to enter, and all processing is done electronically, with no paper entries permitted.

The lottery application period will be open from October 5 (9:30 am) to November 8 (10:30 pm) - both local time.
