Sri Lankans in Russian-Ukraine war: Specialized delegation to visit Russia

Colombo, May 16 (Daily Mirror)- A specialized delegation will leave for Russia on the direction of President Ranil Wickremesinghe to investigate into the welfare of Sri Lankans amidst the on-going Russian-Ukraine war, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya said today. 

Addressing the media briefing held at the PMC, he said the delegation will include the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, the former Ambassador to Russia and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation will depart for Russia promptly, he said.
