Sri Lanka, Canada to tackle cross-border crime

Colombo, July 8 (Daily Mirror) - The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sri Lanka Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in preventing international organized crime, exchanging information related to suspects and criminal activities, and enhancing collaboration on joint operations and technical matters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism has given its concurrence for the proposed MoU.

The resolution was presented by the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.
