Sanitary napkin distribution for 2025 only via certified institutions

Colombo, July 3 (Daily Mirror) - The Sanitary Napkin Distribution Programme for School Girls - 2025 will be carried out exclusively through four officially certified trading institutions this year, the Education Ministry said.

The Ministry said these institutions registered with the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) and certified under SLS 1732:2022 have been authorised to directly visit schools and distribute sanitary napkin packets to students. 

This move is aimed at ensuring the quality, safety and consistency of the products provided under the programme.
