Suresh Sallay admitted to National Hospital

Former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director, Suresh Sallay, has been admitted to the Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.

According to the sources, the retired Major General was admitted a short while ago to receive medical treatment. 

The development comes hours after Sallay’s wife wrote to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), requesting an independent criminal investigation into what she described as inhumane treatment allegedly suffered by her husband while in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
