Wife arrested over stabbing of husband in Horana

Colombo, June 7 (Daily Mirror) - A woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of her husband following a domestic dispute in the Arambakanda area of the Horana Police Division during the early hours of Sunday (June 7).

Police said the victim, a 49-year-old resident of Arambakanda, died after being attacked with a sharp weapon inside the couple’s residence.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the assault allegedly occurred during an argument between the husband and wife.

The suspect, identified as the victim’s wife, was taken into custody by Horana Police shortly after the incident.

Further investigations are being conducted by Horana Police.
