Price of rice and curry, kottu, milk tea, plain tea, fried rice increased

In light of the substantial increase in food production costs, the All-Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association (ACROA) has announced price hikes for Kottu, Fried Rice, and a cup of milk tea and plain tea, effective from last night.

Accordingly, the price of a cup of plain tea has been increased by Rs. 5 and a cup of milk tea by Rs. 10. 

The price of a packet of rice and curry will be increased by Rs. 25.

The price of a packet of Kottu and Fried Rice will be increased by Rs. 50 each.

If there are decreases in consumer goods prices, they are prepared to offer corresponding concessions to the public, the association said.
