President will not resign under any circumstances - Johnston

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will not resign under any circumstances and the government will face the present national crisis, Chief Government Whip Johnston Fernando informed Parliament a short while ago.

Johnston said the President was elected following a mandate given to him by 6.9 million people. 

“As a responsible government, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will not resign from under any circumstances,” Minister Fernando said.
