Police Inspector, constable arrested with over 1kg of heroin

Colombo, August 21 (Daily Mirror) - An Inspector of Police and a Constable have been arrested by the Colombo Crime Division for possessing over 1 kg of heroin in Piliyandala.

Police said the suspects were arrested while arriving in a car at a parking lot of a supermarket in Piliyandala.

The arrested officers are reportedly attached to the Moratuwa STF Camp Intelligence Unit.

The 35-year-old Inspector was arrested on charges of aiding drug trafficking, while the Constable is charged with possession of heroin.
