The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing Easter Sunday attacks, which had temporarily suspended its proceedings due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, will be resumed its work today (12).
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, an officer attached to the Commission said that although the Commission had commenced its proceedings, today's hearing will not be open for the media.
He further added that the officials attached to the Commission was currently deciding on whether to arrange sitting facilities outside the Commission premises for the media to record the evidence.
PCoI probing Easter Sunday attacks temporary suspended its proceedings on October 27 considering the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Three days later after suspending the proceedings, an officer attached to the PCoI Police Unit had also been identified as a COVID-19 infected patient, and he had been received treatments at the Anuradhapura Hospital.(Yoshitha Perera)
