Opposition alliance led by Sajith Premadasa formed : Patali

The proposed alliance led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has already been formed lawfully, and it will be announced to the country shortly, a party leader said yesterday.

Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka told Daily Mirror yesterday the Election Commission had recognised it. He said the alliance and its symbol would be known to the public ceremonially next week. “We have already formed the alliance. It has been recognisd legally. We will announce it to the country,” he said. (Kelum Bandara)
