New Excise Commissioner General assumes duties

Colombo, July 11 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka Navy Commodore (Retired) M.B.N.A. Premaratne assumed duties as the new Excise Commissioner General at the Sri Lanka Excise Department Headquarters in Rajagiriya this morning. 

Commodore Premaratne was given a ceremonial guard of honour by the Excise force outside the headquarters premises prior to formally taking over the duties at his office. 

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake made the appointment on Tuesday, which was subsequently given the Cabinet nod. 

Additional Commissioner General of Excise Rohan Senarathna, Deputy Commissioner Roshan Perera and Assistant Commissioner Jayantha de Silva were also among many senior officials who were present today.
