Nandana Gunathilake passes away

Colombo, Jan 18 (Daily Mirror) - One time Presidential candidate and former Mayor of Panadura, Nandana Gunathilake passed away early in the morning today, a close associate said. 

Gunathilake, who was 63, was the UNP Organiser for Panadura at the time of his death. 

He was the JVP candidate for the Presidential election in 1999 and contested alongside then President Chandrika Kumaratunga and Ranil Wickremesinghe.
