Missing child located, mother still on the run

The Covid-19 infected child, who went missing from the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Angoda last night, has been found in Eheliyagoda area this morning, Police said.

They said a search operation is underway to locate the 25-year old mother of the child.

The woman and her child (2 1/2 year-old) from Eheliyagoda, both contracted with Covid-19, have escaped from the IDH last night.
