Minor train collision between Ragama and Peralanda

Two trains collided between Ragama and Peralanda railway stations due to signal failure this morning on the main line, the Railway Control Room said.

They said the collision was minor and there were no injuries reported.

The Bangadeniya bound train came from behind, collided with another  near the Ragama River, and both trains were delayed by half-an-hour.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the two trains collided on the Puttalam line a short while ago and no damage was reported either, the control room said.
