Man shot dead inside a passenger bus

A 41-year-old man shot dead by an unidentified gunman inside an SLTB bus travelling from Aluthgama to Elpitiya this morning, police said.

They said that one of the passengers with a weapon had opened fire at the victim, who succumbed to his injuries on admission to the hospital.

The suspect had fled the scene and police are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspect, police said.
