Suspect arrested with five unregistered high-capacity motorbikes

Colombo, June 30 (Daily Mirror) - A 25-year-old suspect has been arrested for possessing five unregistered high-capacity motorbikes during a raid carried out by officers of the Homagama Divisional Crime Investigation Unit.

Police said the arrest was made following a tip-off in Hokandara, Athurugiriya.

During the operation, officers seized five high-capacity motorcycles and two fake number plates that had been affixed to two of the vehicles.

The suspect and the seized motorbikes were handed over to the Athurugiriya Police for further investigations.

The suspect is a resident of Hokandara, and Athurugiriya Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
