Kudu Anju’s accomplice arrested with over 6kg narcotics, ammunition

An 18-year-old youth believed to be an accomplice of notorious criminal and drug trafficker Kudu Anju, has been arrested with 6 kg of heroin and 19 rounds of 9mm ammunition by the Tangalle Division Crimes Unit.

Initially, the police arrested the suspect with 40g of heroin during a raid in Ambalantota.

Following the interrogation on the suspect, the police recovered heroin packets with Red Indian logo, 9mm type ammunition and two books containing the names and other details of drug traffickers and drug peddlers in the Colombo area from a house in Piliyandala.(DSB)
