IPL 2025 playoffs: RCB qualify for final; PBKS vs MI in Qualifier 2

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season has reached its climax with just three teams left in the competition. 

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, and Mumbai Indians were the four teams to claim the playoff spots.

RCB and PBKS secured the top two spots and played Qualifier 1, while MI and GT played the Eliminator.

In the first match of the playoff round, RCB comfortably beat PBKS by 8 wickets to qualify for the final.

In the Eliminator match played on May 30, Friday, MI beat GT by 20 runs to advance to the next playoff round, Qualifier 2.

The Qualifier 2 will be played on Sunday, June 1, between PBKS (losers of Qualifier 1) and MI (winner of Eliminator). The winner of this clash will qualify to play RCB in the Grand Final. 

"The Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings were the first two teams to be eliminated from the race to the playoffs. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals followed".
