Colombo, August 6 (Daily Mirror) - The Department of Examinations has announced that all tuition classes for the 2025 Grade Five Scholarship Examination will be prohibited from midnight today (August 6) until the conclusion of the exam on August 10.
In an official statement, the department said that conducting tuition classes, subject-related lectures, seminars, and workshops for exam candidates during this period is strictly forbidden. The ban also applies to the printing, distributing, or publishing of model question papers or promotional material—whether in print, electronic, or social media—that claim to include possible or similar exam questions.
The department emphasized that any individual or institution found violating these regulations can be reported to the nearest police station or through the Examinations Department's hotline 1911, or by contacting the School Examinations Organization and Results Branch via 0112 784208 or 0112 784537.
This year’s Grade Five Scholarship Examination is scheduled to be held on August 10 at 2,787 examination centers across the island.
