Four organized gang members arrested in Nawagamuwa

Four individuals of an organized gang were arrested with drugs, sharp objects and bombs while in hiding at an abandoned house at Waduramulla in Nawagamuwa, Police said.

They said initial investigations have revealed that the suspects were involved in extorting money from individuals in Nawagamuwa area.

Seven swords, two locally-manufactured hand grenades and two grams of heroin were taken into custody in possession of the suspects.(Bimal Shayaman Jayasinghe)
